This large aperture 30mm F1.4 EX DC HSM lens is designed to match the APS-C size image sensors of digital SLR cameras.Two SLD glass elements are especially effective in the compensation of magnification chromatic aberration. A molded glass aspherical lens at the rear lens group reduces color aberration and provides high-quality image results.The HSM design provides quiet high-speed auto-focus with full-time manual focus override.The lens creates exceptionally sharp images of high contrast from its minimum focusing distance of 40cm to infinity. The large maximum aperture of F1.4 produces a versatile lens that performs superbly in a great range of applications including portraiture, indoor and studio work and landscape photography.

    Focus issues resovled on the OM DE M1

    This is the second time I have owned this lens. Focusing was an issue on the E series cameras, it had a tendency to focus a little in front or behind your target. But on the OM DE M1 with MMF3 so far the focusing has been fast and accurate. And its a fraction of the cost of the Panasonic Leica 42.5 mm 1.2 f. Not that I am suggesting it is an equivalent, but an economical compromise.
