My main uses for these watches are the water and sedentary alerts, for medical reasons..I have to add that the vibration for these repeats 2 or3 times and there is a slight jolt. Gets my attention.
The other is the steps counter. I don't use the exercise ones and am waaay past the need for the female readings.
After trying so many watches, I have come to the conclusion that the app is the biggest problem, not the watch itself. This watch has a different app than the others. I have a sketchy wifi connection and if I walk away from my phone to the basement or another room and come back to the phone, check the app it will read disconnected. Just a few seconds will automatically connect and the data will sync from the watch. That kind of pairing has never happened with other watches and the couple of common apps that so many others use.
Most of the watch faces are not worth much, half are childish and the others are dark and not very attractive, too many holiday ones also. In fact, the screen is a little too dark and there is no way to brighten it and also no way to keep it on for longer than a couple of seconds. I can live with that because it has the features that I really need which work quite well. It does wake up quickly when I move my arm. The blood pressure reading is not accurate which is true of the other watches. Don't know why some continue to put it in. I checked oxygen level and heartbeat against the finger thing and they were within a couple of points of that.
The phone and SMS alerts seems to work but I don't get a lot of those so I may not even pay attention.
I like the size and weight of the watch, it is quite comfortable to wear, I have a small wrist so I imagine someone with a bigger wrist would be even more comfortable. But that strap is so hard to pull off to get to that charging tab I'm always afraid I will break it. It has kept the charge for 4 days.
I can forgive some of the features that aren't on there that are on the larger ones because this one works for my needs. I can't comment on the exercise readings because I don't use them. but for the money I think it would be worth buying this and checking that out.
Best to carefully read the seller descriptions and Q and A's for a more detailed description. I will just say that it is working so far and I hope continues.
Think again, this thing can't even keep accurate time. Yes the alarm goes off when it thinks it's the right time but at any given point, the clock could be minutes or even hours out of sync from my phone. It will go to the correct time when I sync it back to my phone, which works just as well as the clock as it only connects when it wants to.
Literally it doesn't even function as a watch.
I had little to no confidence it would perform any other task but for fun I wore it on my bike while I wore my forearm Heart Rate sensor at the same time. At one point I was pushing it on my bike on a flat and my forearm sensor read 155 BPM and this piece of junk on my wrist said 82. Hold the button down to have it measure again, 84 while on a bike actively spinning.
This would be a good fitness band if you need a prop for a movie, you want to give it to someone at work you hate as a gift, your 5 year old wants a smart tracker like you, if you enjoy recycling plastic and rubber or you want a watch that doesn't tell time.
Battery life is impressive and no special hardware is required - just plug it into your computer, phone charger, car or any standard USB port. The display is hard to read in bright light but will illuminate a dark room if you trigger it in you sleep (actually, a handy feature).
This model includes glucose monitoring that wasn't featured on the old version. I treat the readings as ballpark figures that are accurate enough for trending. It takes some getting used to but I'm familiar with the tricky things like pedometer counting. It will count certain actions that don't involve motion but not pushing a shopping cart.
I had a difficult time pairing the tracker to the app because I wanted to unbind my old one and connect the new one in its place. The app has changed and I had to update my phone with a newer version. While I prefer the older version, I can live with the new one.
I really like this contraption. It's not an imposing size and requires little more than charging. Amazing gadget for the price.
12/31/2023
My new bracelet has failed to remain connected and gets stuck in a reconnect loop that kills my phone battery. It connected at times during the week I've had it but, after the latest app update that was installed overnight, it won't remain connected long enough to be of use.
Think I'll look for my original bracelet. It's appearance was identical but it was reliable.
